BASIC TURMERIC TEA
- Water, 4 cups
- Turmeric, 1 teaspoon
- Lemon and/or honey, to taste
- Bring the water to a boil, then add the turmeric.
- Reduce the heat, and let the mixture simmer.
- Remove from heat and then strain with a fine sieve. Pour into cups, and add lemon and/or honey to taste.
LEMONGRASS TURMERIC TEA
- Water, 2 cups
- Ginger root, 1 inch, peeled and minced
- Ground turmeric, 2 teaspoons
- Ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon
- Lemongrass tea, 1 tea bag
- Peppercorns, 6 (optional)
- Sea salt, 1 pinch
- Lemon and/or honey, to taste
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the turmeric, ginger root, cinnamon, and (if you want), the optional peppercorns.
- Let the mixture simmer on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- Add the lemongrass tea bag, then let steep for about 3 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag and then pour mixture into a mug to drink.
Keeping Healthy With Turmeric Curcumin Tea
Keeping and staying healthy means a whole different thing these days than it used to, and yet and it’s not entirely different. Where once it simply meant exercising “once in a while” and some nebulous idea of “eating right”, these days the standards have gone up quite a bit.
